Hope Hospice Return

August 18, 2018

Our mission team spent the earlier part of the day at Hope Hospice here in Montego Bay Jamaica. It is always a bitter sweet experience and our hearts are somewhat on a pause to see who remains and who has transitioned to be with the Lord.  They are so full of hope and yet praise God in spite of their situation.  Their smiles show the sweet communion of God’s imprint resting on their journey.

There was a most precious woman residing there who was one hundred and two years old.  She was sharp in her thinking and had glistening silver and white hair. Her ability  to walk on her own and reflect on the goodness of God was breath taking.  What a mighty God we serve in every season of our lives.

As we sang and shared in devotion with them, they worshipped beyond their terminal illnesses.  The nurses joined in and one played her tambourine as an exuberant expression of praise. We left our love and donations with plans to return in the near future to facilitate staff training.  The call and commission upon our church is being walked out in faith, leaning on the Lord!

Apostle Nixon

“JACOB’S WELL CHURCH”

Just inside of Trelawny Jamaica you will find a portal of God’s heaven open over a tabernacle of worship.  We have been fortunate to partner in ministry with Bishop Earle and his wonderful body of believers at Jacobs Well Church.  They are passionately in pursuit of the manifest presence of Almighty God.  There is an evident move and manifestation of growth and grace in the atmosphere.

We started our 2018 mission the second night of our assignment with a leadership focus and ministering to leaders in the community.  Our theme was, “Leading Well; Living Long & Loosing The Captives”.  The response was both phenomenal and encouraging.  On last night, the Lord ministered healing and deliverance in our midst at Jacobs Well. The hunger and receptiveness to the move of the prophetic Word was amazing.  Tonight we will go a little further and press in for greater glory.

Agree with us for saving of souls, miracles, and mighty deeds while here in Jamaica .  He that has begun a great work in us shall perform it completely .  Keep looking up, your deliverance is at hand.  Behold God’s goodness in what might appear to be gloomy and seemingly hopeless.  All of our help comes from the Lord!  HE WILL NOT DISAPPOINT!

IN HIS SERVICE,

APOSTLE

Looking out over this Caribbean Sea, I’m assured that Gods reach is vast and victorious. Today was our first full international mission encounter at West Haven Children’s Home.  The children were so happy and excited to see us arrive and eagerly awaited our exiting of the bus. They were ready to embrace us and select one of us to hug, tug and walk with during our visit. They were not graciously groomed or pleasantly scented to ones preference.  However, they were adorable to the soul and precious to the heart of God.

I always feel close to God when I am in the company of these chosen children.  John’s Gospel informs us that some conditions exist for the works of God to be made manifest. We were sent to West Haven Children’s Home to manifest the works of God through presence and touch among those who are the expression of God’s heart.

As we sang with the children, I experienced the love and nature of God. They were totally free of any need to sound any particular way vocally. They changed their volume and tone as often as they changed their posture. They loved being loud and enjoyed moving to the beat.  Whenever we would stop one song after singing several verses, a child would yell out; “again”!

They wanted the music and the melody to continue. They couldn’t get enough of the joy.

If we would allow ourselves, we would also yearn for continuous fellowship and joyful encounters with the Lord and others. As I consider some of the children that were disabled and had no physical mobility, the love of God yet reached them through the melody of missions and music.  Come journey with us as we serve all God’s children while here in Jamaica.

SHALOM,

Apostle Nixon
