Pastor Dr. Tyrone Turner, Lawton, Oklahoma

Pastor Dr. Tyrone E. Turner was born in Lawton, Okla., on 21 March 1963. He is the son of Mr.    Rogers Turner, Sr., and the late Mrs. Opal Turner. Pastor Turner is the third in the family of four boys. He is married to the former Miss Beverly Marie   Gordon of Ardmore, Okla.; and they have one child, Tyrone Jr.

Pastor Turner received his early education in the Lawton Public School System. He completed his  undergraduate studies at Cameron University of Lawton, Okla., and was awarded his Bachelor's Degree in Elementary      Education in May of 1985. He has served in the teaching profession throughout the state of Oklahoma for more than 19 years. In May 2002, he completed the requirements for graduate studies at American Christian College & Seminary of Oklahoma City, Okla., and was awarded his Master Of Arts Degree in Pastoral Ministry with the Highest Honors. In August 2013, he earned his Doctor of Philosophy Degree in Pastoral Ministry from Trinity Theological Seminary in Newburgh, Indiana.   Additionally, he completed the Pastors' Certification Course, which qualifies him to teach theology at the district, state, and national levels.

After a long, distinguished career as a minister that began in 1986, the Reverend Dr. Tyrone E. Turner, Sr. has served as Pastor/Teacher of three           congregations in Oklahoma: Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church in Gene Autry,  Oklahoma, Corinth  Baptist Church in Ardmore, Oklahoma and in 1997 he was called to lead St. John's Missionary Baptist Church, in Lawton, Oklahoma, for over 14 years.  Presently, the Lord has him on assignment in the evangelistic field and he does a number of revivals throughout the nation—all to the honor and glory of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
